What We Do - In-office Medication Dispensing

Physicians' Pharmaceutical Corporation's in-office medication dispensing program is a turn-key solution that allows physicians to fill the prescriptions they write. The Physicians' Pharmaceutical Corporation Program of in-office physicians' dispensing creates an additional revenue stream for the practice, maintains patient privacy, provides convenience for patients, and enhances medication compliance. The benefits of this program are extraordinary.

When a physician administers a shot to a patient, the physician is dispensing medication directly related to their practice. The Physicians' Pharmaceutical Corporation Program allows the physician to dispense medication to their patients within the scope of their practice in the form of prescriptions.

The Physicians' Pharmaceutical Corporation Program is different from repacking programs. Repacking programs consist of repackagers buying medications in bulk and packing them into bottles of a typical prescription quantity (i.e., 30-day supply). The repacking companies limit flexibility and keep the bulk of the profit, leaving the medical practice with more work and little reward. Furthermore, the repacking programs do not provide the same high level of safeguards for the medication inventory, medication ordering advice for improved profitability, or ability to fill prescriptions for unusual quantities.

Instead of Physicians' Pharmaceutical Corporation repacking medications and charging the practice for this service, the Physicians' Pharmaceutical Corporation Program allows the practice to maintain greater control of the physician-dispensing unit by filling the actual prescriptions written by the doctor. The initial cost as well as ongoing costs are minimal and are directly controlled by the practice. The practice and, therefore, the physicians retain a greater share of the profit.

Minimal space is needed for the physician-dispensing unit since only a small inventory of medication is maintained in-office. A Prescription Technician fills the prescription written by the physician and processes payment, whether payment is received as cash payment, Medicaid/Medicare claim, or an insurance claim. The software adjudicates insurance claims for the filled prescriptions immediately, resulting in more timely insurance payments to the practice.

Physicians' Pharmaceutical Corporation makes it easy. Physicians' Pharmaceutical Corporation personnel file the paperwork to establish the physician-dispensing unit as well as the insurance contracts to enable insurance reimbursements. Physician Pharmaceutical Corporation works with the practice to establish the physical location, assist with hiring and training the Prescription Technician, and provide ongoing information and support to the physicians as needed.
